With the summer being as busy as it’s been around here, I was so happy that T and I both had last Friday off. We want to soak up as much of Boston as we can before our move to Nashua, so we decided to invite my younger cousin Kayla up for a day of sightseeing in the city. We hiked rode the elevator to the 50th floor of the Prudential Center to see the gorgeous views from the Skywalk Observatory, moseyed along Newbury Street, and stopped for lunch at the Trident Cafe (which is also a very cool and well-stocked bookstore). While Kayla’s visit was short and sweet, it was the perfect way to spend a precious free day**.

Hello! It’s been a little over a week since my last post (sorry!) My school district had our April vacation last week, and to be honest I just needed the time to unplug. I tackled no to-do lists, slept in, hosted a clothing swap with some girlfriends , and caught up on a few shows I’ve been neglecting (read: I feel bad making T watch them with me). My staycation was relaxing and glorious, and left me feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the end of my LAST SEMESTER OF GRADUATE SCHOOL!!!
I do have a couple of fun posts coming up later this week, but in the meantime, here are some things that have brought a smile to my face lately.
Luckily, April vacation kicked off with a Red Sox game on Marathon Monday! It was so fun to be in the middle of all the excitement on one of the first truly beautiful spring days here in Boston.
I’m happy to say that the clothes swap was a success! I scored some really great pieces, made a ton of room in my closet, and was still able to donate some good quality items that no one wanted by the end of the night. Win-win-win!

Spring is in the air which, among many other delightful things, means it’s time to re-vamp the ole’ wardrobe. I’m currently craving pretty much everything floral, off-the-shoulder, and easy-breezy. While having the budget of a student teacher makes clothes shopping feel absolutely laughable at the moment, I have an on-going list of “one day” pieces that I cannot wait to splurge on some time (hopefully) soon. These pieces are all first up on my never-ending list.
I am OBSESSED with this dress. The print is gorgeous, and this piece could easily be dressed up for a wedding, or down to a backyard cookout.
I love a solid neutral blouse like this one. It could easily be dressed up with the right accessories, but it’s just as cute left alone.
I love pretty much everything about this dress. The colors are absolutely gorgeous, and the cut looks extremely flattering. I could see myself wearing this on a date night, at the farmer’s market, or even at work (paired with a cute denim jacket).
What are you craving for spring? I’d love to hear!
Hello all! I’m so excited to bring you my very first ‘What I Wore’ post! This past Saturday, T and I decided to take advantage of the gorgeous springy Boston weather by heading out for brunch. I took full advantage of the warm (by New England standards) weather and donned this boho kimono that I scooped up a couple of weeks ago at Leaf Boutique.
I am a total sucker for breezy pieces like this one. They’re so versatile, they’re nice and light, and they make me feel like I’m at a music festival, even if I’m stuck inside grading papers.
I kept it simple on this day with solid black leggings and a black tank, but I’m excited to pair this kimono with shorts and skirts when summer is finally here!
My favorite detail of this piece is this little dipped V line in the back. It’s such a simple feature, but it adds that much more fun and playfulness to an already easy-breezy piece.
I am SO excited that warmer weather seems to be here to stay in Boston, which means that plenty more spring looks are on their way 🙂
